Programme description
The Bachelors in Film and Television Production programme is designed to give you all the relevant skills in the production of film and television artifacts, encompassing the technical and academic sides of production. This is a vibrant, practical course that allows you to develop your creativity in whichever area you wish to specialise. With resources and facilities that allow you to experience most of the production contexts in which you will work.
The programme outcomes are designed to enable students to meet the challenges of employment (including self-employment) in a society in which cultural and communications industries play an increasingly central role. Additionally, the programme emphasises that employability requires the development of students' creative, intellectual, analytical and research skills.
Teaching method
The course is designed to pursue creative projects in a range of different formats and genres, wherein the students integrate technical know-how with the power of the imagination. With state-of-art facilities and an experience-based learning approach, students develop short films and documentaries as part of their course work. The three year program runs in association with the industry. Learning takes place through a series of workshops and masterclasses from internal and visiting staff, including acclaimed film makers and television producers.
